Traveller Reviews

It’s easy these days to write about how great you are - it’s quite another thing for others to do so. That’s why we’re so sticky about client feedback: we want it and we act on it!

If an overland tour didn’t live up to expectations or our hot recommendations turned out to be a bit lukewarm then we’re super-keen to know about it in order to keep refining our product offerings.

But it’s not for nothing that Overland Africa has been in business for nearly a decade: our consultants have many years of experience in the overland industry and are nothing short of fastidious when it comes to selecting the right product and matching it to their clients’ needs.

The result? The vast majority of our clients return home beaming - but don’t take our word for it, rather read what others have had to say about their incredible adventures in Africa:

Well-organised and planned – June 2012

The lodges we stayed at were all really nice.  We weren’t exactly sure what to expect, but we liked every place we stayed (in particular, our rooms in the Sopa Lodges in Tanzania were great).  The food and service was excellent and far exceeded our expectations.

The safari itself was everything we imagined.  We saw the Big 5.  We also saw hyenas, cheetahs, and everything else we had hoped to see.  We liked our drivers.  They had very different styles but both were entertaining and informative.  In Kenya, our driver really tried to the spots where interesting animals were spotted.  In Tanzania, our driver took his time and told lots of stories and provided a lot of info about the animals and their behaviour.

Exceeded our expectations – June 2012

Perhaps THE most surprising and yet wonderful thing of the trip was VARIETY. We enjoyed the exposure to different cultures like the Himba, Herero, and San. We enjoyed the basic huts to the 4-star hotels; the camp fire dinners to the superior hot buffet breakfasts; country lodges to large city hotels; national parks to small town Wimpys to busy city streets to local markets.

Pearl of Africa – May 2012

They say Uganda is the Pearl of Africa and I need to say it is the PEARL of Africa! Wonderful country, wonderful nature, great game reserves and wonderful people! I have travelled a lot all around the world but Uganda topped everything so far. The trip was tiring but I enjoyed every minute and the highlight of course was the trekking with the gorillas. What a moment when you see them the first time: Tears were running down my cheeks. These beautiful, peaceful, gentle creatures!

Told many of our experience – April 2012

Michael and I would like to thank you for all your assistance in helping us plan our holiday.  The tour itself 20 days from Cape Town to Johannesburg was wonderful.  We met some lovely people from many countries and the crew on tour was the best we have met.  The whole experience was truly wonderful and we can’t thank you enough for all your help and advice.

I have certainly told many people of our experience with Go2Africa (you and Candice in particular) which was excellent and our amazing travels through South Africa.  South Africa has been a wonderful holiday for us but the people we have met along the way has made it that much better.

Best Holiday Ever! - February 2012

Gelle, we all had an absolutely WONDERFUL time on the safari - I knew I’d enjoy it but it was so much better than I had expected. Everyone we met were very hard working, professional and fun. Thank you very much for your help in arranging everything, I think I can say it was the best holiday I’ve ever had!

Everything Taken Care Of - February 2012

Hi Ingrid, everything went very well!

We enjoyed the 8 Day Desert-Dunes tour giving us an introduction to Namibia. The deserts are inspiring and both Overland Africa and Nomad Tours made everything work smoothly. We had special dietary needs and these were handled with care and professionalism by Rimson, the tour cook. Thanks so much for your help Ingrid, we had some special needs as you know and you were a great help in dealing with them!

Amazing South Africa - February 2012

Hi Ingrid

I just returned form South Africa, where I had a magnificent time. The tour you suggested to me was great. We had a great guide who knew every animal, could cook like one of the best restaurants! We slept in great locations & saw a lot of the country. In short it was amazing and there is nothing to improve!

Ingrid, thanks a lot for all you support and making it happen. I will definitely come back to South Africa!

Kind regards
Gina

In Love with Africa - January 2012

We spent long hours looking for a tourist agency that could fulfil our expectations, since we intended to travel ‘individually’ - as 6-person group. Final decision was not easy but it turned out great, thanks to locating via Internet the very competent travel office Overland Africa (via Go2Africa) from Cape Town, which led to a long-lasting cooperation with a great travel consultant –  Gelle Ritchie.

Just exchanging messages and deciding about the details of our future trip was already the beginning of great adventure, since Gelle loves Africa with all her heart! Thank you Gelle!
