Days 2-3: Game Viewing in Etosha National Park

This morning, depart the Chameleon Guesthouse after breakfast for the famous Etosha National Park. Stop briefly along the way for lunch in Otjiwarango. Arrive to the park in the afternoon, and enjoy a game drive to some of the closer water holes near the gate. At sunset, make your way to Halali Lodge, located inside the park, for dinner.

Waking up at sunrise, leave the lodge in time to maximise your wildlife viewing, driving around until mid-morning when you stop for breakfast. Continue your search, after breakfast, for zebra, giraffe, elephants, and large predators – lions, cheetahs, and leopards.

Stop for lunch back at the Halali Camp and rest for a few hours at the camp as you wait for the heat of the day to dissipate. After a relaxing swim, head back out on your game drive in the late afternoon, before returning to the lodge just prior to sunset. On day 3, you’ll exit the park just before sunset and head to your lodge for the evening.

Leaving the coast behind, travel south through the Kuiseb Moon Valley arriving to your camp in the late afternoon.

The next day is another early morning as you get up before sunrise so as to enter the Namib-Naukluft National Park as the gates open. Today is your opportunity to explore the world’s highest sand dunes and the Dead Vlei. Watch as the morning light turns the red sand into shades of oranges and apricots.

As you return to the lodge, stop at Dune 45, and experience the chance to climb one of these massive dunes. Once at the lodge, head out to catch a spectacular sunset over the Naukluft Mountains.
