    Day 1: Crossing into Botswana

    Leaving Johannesburg early in the morning, travel north to the Botswana border. Continue through the town of Serowe to the Khama Rhino Sanctuary.

    This reserve, situated in the Kalahari, is a protected habitat for the white rhino, zebra and wildebeest. Once at the sanctuary, head out on a game drive in the Malema and Serwe Pans.

    Day 2: Travelling Through the Kalahari

    Days 3-4: Exploring the Okavango Delta

    Spend 2 nights with local guides who will take you into the heart of the world’s largest inland delta, the Okavango Delta, on traditional dugout canoes – mokoros. 

    During the day, explore the Delta on some amazing guided game walks, and mokoro rides with your guides. In the evening, sit by the fire at your bush camp, and listen to the sounds of the wild.

    Day 5: Returning to Maun

    After a final game walk, you’ll break camp and return to Maun in the late afternoon for a nice hot shower. If time permits, book an optional scenic flight over the Delta to get a different perspective of the ecological wonder you just visited.

    Days 6-9: Game Viewing in Moremi

    Today, you’ll make your way into the Moremi Game Reserve – one of the premier game reserves in Southern Africa – for a few nights of game viewing. Explore the reserve on some game drives as you search for elephants, hippos, buffalo, and other wildlife. 

    Moving north you enter the area of Savuti for a few more nights of camping. This open grass plain has an abundant number of zebras and wildebeests, as such, there is a large number of predators. Spend your days visiting the water hole near the camp for wildlife, and in the evening watch the spectacular sunsets.

    Days 10-11: Spotting Elephants in Chobe

    Continue north to the famous Chobe National Park on the northern border of Botswana. The park is renowned for its large herds of elephants, and you can spend the next 2 days searching the park for them and other wildlife.

    In the late afternoon of the second day, embark on a cruise of the Chobe River as you view the wildlife that use the river to cool off, and another spectacular African sunset. Tonight you’ll camp in Kasane on the banks of the river.

    Days 12-13: Gazing Upon Mighty Victoria Falls

    Crossing into to Zambia, you drive towards the town of Livingstone and camp on the banks of the Zambezi River. Enjoy the opportunity to view ‘the smoke that thunders,’ Victoria Falls.

    Optionally, you can go white water rafting on the Zambezi, take a sundowner cruise on the Zambezi, or take a scenic flight over the Falls.

    Day 14: Ending Your Tour in Livingstone

    Your tour ends after breakfast. Ask your Africa Safari Expert about transfer options to the airport.
