    Day 1: Explore the Mother City

    Meet your guide early in the morning at the Sweetest Guesthouse, and begin your adventure with a tour of the Cape Peninsula stopping at the Boulders Beach to see the penguins, and at the Cape Point Nature Reserve. Drive back to Cape Town along the coast, via the quaint port town of Hout Bay, to the famous Victoria & Alfred Waterfront for dinner (own expense).

    Day 2: Climb the Cederberg Mountains

    After breakfast, you head north through the West Coast region to renowned Cederberg Mountains. These giant rock formations have been molded into unique shapes by the environments. Take the rest of the day to explore the area on foot before a nice delicious dinner at your accommodation.

    Day 3: Swim in the Gariep River

    Notice how the land has turned more arid and rugged as you continue north towards the Gariep River and the Namibia border.

    Stop for the night at your tented lodge which on the Namibian side of the river. The remainder of the day is yours to enjoy a nice cooling swim in the river, or you can hire canoes and explore the lazy flowing Gariep River.

    Day 4: Watch the Sunset over the Fish River Canyon

    Today you’ll travel through the rugged terrain of southern Namibia to the famous Fish River Canyon. Carved by the Fish River (hence its name), this natural phenomenon, at a depth of 550m, is the world’s second largest canyon.

    Arriving in the late afternoon, wander the rim of the canyon partaking in the views as you watch the sun set over the far side of the canyon. Return to the Canon Mountain Camp for the night.

    Days 5-6: Discover the Sossusvlei

    Spend the next 2 days exploring one of the world’s oldest deserts – the Namib Desert – as you visit the Sesriem Canyon, Namib-Naukluft National Park, and the world’s highest sand dunes – Sossusvlei. Watch a spectacular sunset as you climb Dune 45 after experiencing the Deadvlei, a clay pan spotted with several dead camel thorn trees.

    Days 7-8: Relax in Swakopmund

    This morning you drive through the Namib Desert to the Atlantic Coast and the quaint, German town of Swakopmund. After checking in to the Dunedin Star Guesthouse, explore the town for the rest of the day, as tomorrow is a free day for optional activities. 

    The next day continue to explore the streets stopping in at the various craft shops or cafes, take the opportunity to quad bike in the dunes, sand board down the dunes, or sky dive above the dunes.

    Days 9-10: Admire the Art in Twyfelfontein

    Travel through another of Namibia’s diverse regions as you drive to the Damaraland and the White Lady Lodge. Marvel at the rugged region of vast plains, ancient petrified forests, and the massive rock croppings of the Brandberg Mountains. Spend some time checking out the rock engravings at Twyfelfontein.

    Days 11-12: Spot Game in Etosha National Park

    Experience one of Namibia’s best game parks as you explore the Etosha National Park over the next 2 days. The park offers a unique game viewing experience as the sparse conditions make spotting wildlife easier than usual. 

    Stop by several water holes looking for elephants, lions, and herds of antelope and zebras. Each night you’ll retire to the comfort of the Tarentaal Guest Farm, just outside the park.

    Day 13: Stay the Night in Windhoek

    Heading south you reach the capital of Namibia, Windhoek, your final stop for the night. Explore this once colonial city that has been able to blend its modern day African influences with its historic European founders.

    Day 14: Wander With the Local Bushmen

    Today after a short drive to the border you cross into Botswana where you’ll overnight in San bushman huts at the Ghanzi Trail Blazers in the Kalahari. Experience the area as you go on a guided walk with some local bushmen to learn about their culture and way of life.

    Days 15-16: Cruise Through the Okavango Delta

    This morning you’ll drive to the world’s largest inland delta where you embark on a 2-night excursion into the Okavango Delta. Traveling by mokoros – traditional dugout canoes – you will tranquilly float through the waterways to your tented camp. 

    For the next 2 days explore this unique ecosystem on foot as your local guides take you on a few game walks in search of wildlife, and to view the flora and fauna. In the evenings sit by the fire, listening to the sounds of the wild all around you.

    Day 17: Fly Over the Delta

    After a final game walk, say goodbye to the Delta as you collect your gear and return to the Audi Camp in Maun, by mokoro, in the late afternoon. If time permits, book an optional scenic flight over the Delta to get an aerial view of where you just were.

    Day 18: Get a Glimpse of the Makgadikagdi Pans

    Making your way east, tonight, you’ll stop at the Nata Loge on the shimmering saltpans of Makgadikgadi. Nearly the size of Switzerland, the pan appears to be an endless plain, until the rains come and turn the pans into a frenzy of activity of feeding water birds, and the zebras and wildebeests that come looking for water.

    Days 19-20: Check Out the Victoria Falls

    Today is a bit of a long travel day as you drive north and cross the Zambezi River into Zambia as you make your way to Livingstone. After getting settled in at the SafPar Waterfront Lodge, take the opportunity to check out the natural wonder that is the Victoria Falls, then head out on an optional cruise along the Zambezi. 

    The next day partake in some of the vast activities available, including white water rafting, a lion walk, bungee jumping off the Victoria Falls Bridge, or abseil into the Batoka Gorge.

    Day 21: End Your Tour in Livingstone

    Wake up early to partake in an optional scenic flight over the Falls before having to say goodbye to amazing journey. For your tour ends after breakfast.
