    Day 1: Arriving in Zimbabwe

    Today is an arrival day, so arrive at anytime as there are no planned activities. It is recommend though that you arrive a day earlier, or as early as you can on Day 1 so you can partake in the many optional activities in the Victoria Falls area.

    Day 2: Explore the Chobe National Park

    Cross into Botswana and travel to the town of Kasane on the banks of the Chobe River. Embark on a river cruise to search the Chobe River for wildlife after a delicious lunch at your camp site. 

    Return to the camp to prepare for an overnight excursion into the famous Chobe National Park. Spend the afternoon exploring this renowned park for its large herds of elephants and other wildlife.

    Day 3: Checking Out the Mighty Victoria Falls

    Departing Botswana, board the ferry and cross into Zambia for a night in Livingstone. Today view the Falls from the Zambian side, which is quite a different perspective from the Zimbabwean side. Do any of the optional activities you have not participated in yet. 

    In the evening, Take the optional sunset cruise up the Zambezi looking for any game that might come down for drink.

    Day 4: Making Your Way through Zambia

    Leaving Livingstone early in the morning, travel north through the lush southern Zambian country side to your camp site just outside of Lusaka. Spend the rest of the day relaxing at the campsite watching the eland graze nearby.

    Day 5: Resting in Chipata

    Continuing north make your way to your picturesque camp site that is situated close to the Zambian/Malawi border, near the town of Chipata. The rest of the day is yours to enjoy and, if time permits, explore this small African town.

    Days 6-9: Exploring the Lake Malawi Coast

    Crossing into Malawi, stop in the capital, Lilongwe, for some supplies before travelling to the famous Lake Malawi. Over the next five days, travel up the coast of this stunning fresh water lake and stay at a variety of camps on the lake’s shore. 

    Spend your days learning the game of bao from the locals, visit the local markets looking for some gifts to take home, or relaxing on the beautiful beaches. 

    Lake Malawi is well-known for its clear blue waters and tropical marine life, which makes it perfect for snorkelling and diving excursions. Other activities include the opportunity to go horseback riding, visiting a local school, or spending the day exploring the shoreline in a kayak.

    Day 10: Drinking a Cup of Tea in Iringa

    Today cross the border into Tanzania and travel through the beautiful Tukuyu tea plantation region to the village of Iringa. Tonight spend the night in a rustic ‘farmhouse’ camp site.

    Day 11: Soaking Up the Sun in Dar es Salaam

    This morning make your way from the highlands of Iringa to the humid coastal city of Dar es Salaam. Once in Dar es Salaam, travel to your quaint beach side camp site and spend the evening relaxing on the white sandy beaches as you prepare for your excursion to Zanzibar.

    Days 12-14: Spicing Up Things on Zanzibar

    Today board the ferry for the ‘Spice Island’ and your 3-night excursion on this idyllic paradise. Your starting point will be Stone Town, but there is no fixed itinerary for these next few days. You have the choice of spending as much time in Stone Town or anywhere on the island as you like. 

    Stone Town is the largest town on the island and is the main starting point for most visitors. The town is rich in history which is quite evident in the architecture and culture. Spend a few days here exploring the narrow streets, stopping in the many Medina-like shops and cafes for some delicious spice tea. Other options from the town would be a day tour to Prison Island, or traditional dhow sailing excursion. 

    p>The north is a more well-known beach locale with its stunning white sandy beaches and crystal clear waters. Take the opportunity to come to the north to do some snorkeling or diving in some of the most beautiful reefs you’ll have ever seen. You can also just relax on the beach soaking up the Africa sun and people-watch.

    Day 15: Returning to Dar Es Salaam

    Returning to Stone Town, meet up with your fellow travel companions and board the ferry back to the mainland, where your tour will end upon your arrival.
