    Day 1: Driving Through the Panorama Route

    Leaving early from Johannesburg travel east through the beautiful province of Mpumalanga to the quaint gold rush town of Pilgrims Rest. While here, you have the chance to explore the Mac Mac Falls and the view God’s Window.

    Days 2-3: Game Viewing in the Kruger National Park

    Spend the next 2 days exploring one of the premier game parks in Southern Africa, the Kruger National Park. Search the park for Africa’s Big 5 – elephant, lion, rhino, leopard, and buffalo – on a few morning and afternoon game drives. In the evenings, relax by the campfire and listen to the sounds of the wild nearby.

    Day 4: Exploring the Kingdom of Swaziland

    Today you enter the stunning Kingdom of Swaziland and travel to the Malolotja Reserve where you’ll spend the night in log cabins. Once settled in, explore the reserve on foot enjoying the breathtaking views, the birdlife, and the renowned 95m high Malolotja waterfall.

    Days 5-6: Searching for Rhino in Mkuze

    This morning visit the local craft markets near Mbabane before you re-enter South Africa. After crossing the border, you’ll make your way to the Mkuzi Game Reserve – a protected area for the endangered black rhino.

    The next day, embark on a full day of game viewing in the reserve as you search for the black rhino and other wildlife. Stop at a water hole, and watch the game come for a drink.

    Days 7-8: Hiking in the Drakensberg

    Continue to travel south to the base of the stunning mountains of the Drakensberg where you’ll camp for the next 2 nights. Hike along the many trails that crisscross along the mountain range as you enjoy the spectacular views and ancient bushman rock paintings.

    Days 9-10: Pony Trekking in Lesotho

    Your journey, today, takes you through the sandstone cliffs of the Golden Gate Park on your way to the mountainous kingdom of Lesotho. Crossing the border, you travel over mountain passes and along stunning views to Malealea in the southern part of the country. 

    Wake up early the next morning, and head out for the day with a local guide on a pony trek into the rugged mountains around your chalets to view the spectacular scenery.

    Day 11: Discovering the Great Karoo

    Leaving the highlands of Lesotho, you re-enter South Africa and make your way to the Great Karoo. This semi-desert area covers most of the central part of the country and is well-known for its sheep and ostrich farms. The rest of the day will be yours to explore the area around your guesthouse.

    Day 12: Spotting Elephants in Addo

    Heading to the Indian Ocean Coast, you’ll spend the night in the Addo Elephant National Park. The park offers a unique game viewing experience, and is most famous for the Addo elephant, hence its name.

    In the afternoon, explore the park on a game drive as you search for elephants, black rhinos, buffalo, and lion. During the evening, relax by the floodlit water hole and view the nocturnal animals.

    Days 13-14: Experiencing the Tsitsikamma

    Continue along the coast to the renowned and magnificent Tsitsikamma National Park. After setting up camp among the forest trees, at the mouth of the Storms River, explore the park and the rocky coastline. 

    Book a canopy tour, hike along the Storms River Gorge, or for the adventurous, jump off the world’s highest bungee jump platform.

    Day 15: Travelling Along the Garden Route

    Staying along the coast, you’ll come to the town of Knysna and a chance to visit its famous ‘Heads’ before continuing along the Garden Route towards the Western Cape’s wine region. Tonight you’ll camp near the Huguenot town of Franschhoek.

    Days 16-17: Exploring the Mother City

    Enjoy a walk in the quaint town of Franschhoek, before heading to the capital of the wine region, Stellenbosch. Stop here for a chance to taste some of the region’s finest wines and to go on a cellar tour. 

    After your time in Stellenbosch, make your way to your final destination – Cape Town. Spend the next 2 days exploring this cosmopolitan city and all its attractions, such as Cape of Good Hope, Hout Bay, and the V&A Waterfront. In the evening, head out to one of the many excellent restaurants (own expense).

    Day 18: Climbing Table Mountain

    This morning, explore the famous Table Mountain as you climb to the top to get some amazing photos of the Mother City, and Atlantic Coast. 

    The afternoon will be yours to catch up on any last minute activities, or shopping you want to do as your tour officially ends in the evening around 6pm.
