    Day 1: Arrive in the adrenaline capital of Africa

    Your adventure begins in Livingstone with an open day so that you can enjoy some the many optional activities on offer.

    We recommend that you arrive a day or two earlier so that you can partake in as many activities as possible.

    Days 2-3: Game viewing in Chobe National Park

    After breakfast, set off from Livingstone for a short drive to the Botswana border on the Zambezi River. Crossing the river by ferry, you’ll continue onto your camp site just outside the Chobe National Park.

    Early the next morning, embark on a game drive into the park. Chobe is one of Botswana’s premier game parks, and home to a large population of elephants as well as several types of big cats. Later in the afternoon, cruise along the Chobe River searching for wildlife, such as hippos and crocodiles, that have come to the river for a drink.

    Day 4: Overnight in Maun

    Travelling south, drive through the Kalahari Desert to the small frontier town of Maun – the gateway to the Okavango Delta. Spend the rest of the day preparing for your overnight excursion into the world’s largest inland delta.

    Days 5-6: Cruise the Okavango Delta

    Journey into the Okavango Delta to spend the next 2 days exploring this unique ecosystem on foot and by mokoro – a traditional dugout canoe.

    Experience several game walks as you search the reserve for elephants, buffalo, and zebras during the day. At night, enjoy relaxing around your camp fire as you listen to the calls of the wild all around.

    Day 7: Walking with the Bushman in Ghanzi

    This morning depart the Okavango Delta as you travel through the Kalahari Desert to the farming town of Ghanzi. In the afternoon, partake in a Bushman tour with a local guide to learn about the area and his way of life.

    Day 8: Exploring the vibrant Windhoek

    Today, cross into Namibia and continue west to the capital, Windhoek. This energetic city is an eclectic mix of its old German colonial ties with its modern day African development. Enjoy an evening of exploring the town.

    Days 9-10: Spotting game in Etosha National Park

    Make your way north to the famous Etosha National Park for 2 days of game viewing in Namibia’s premier game park. The sparse vegetation in Etosha make game viewing a unique and easier experience than at most other game parks. 

    At night, visit your camp’s floodlit waterholes to view the nocturnal animals that come for a drink.

    Day 11: Observing the giant Spitzkoppe

    Your journey, today, takes you south passing through the rugged terrain of the Damaraland to the giant monolith of Spitzkoppe. This granite peaks are a unique attraction to this relatively flat landscape, and the ancient Bushman view the monolith as a sacred site.

    Days 12-13: Get your pulse racing in Swakopmund

    Continuing south, you reach the Atlantic Ocean and stop at the Cape Cross Seal Colony to observe the 80,000 seals that live along the coast. From here, you’ll follow the coast to the quaint, colonial town of Swakopmund – Namibia’s playground.

    The next day, partake in some of the exciting optional activities that are available such as quad biking in the dunes, sand boarding, or skydiving. For those looking for something a little slower, why not wander the streets stopping in at some of the craft shops or cafes.

    Days 14-15: Climbing Dune 45 in Sossusvlei

    Heading inland, travel through the moon-like landscape of the Kuiseb Valley as you drive to the world’s oldest desert, the Namib-Naukluft National Park. After setting up camp, watch as the sunsets over the vast desert.

    This morning wake up early and make your way to the Sossusvlei – home to the highest sand dunes in the world. Take the opportunity to climb Dune 45 as the sunrises over this mighty attraction changing its colour from deep red to bright orange.

    Day 16: Wandering the rim of the Fish River Canyon

    Set off through the Namib Desert to the renowned Fish River Canyon in the southern regions of Namibia. This natural wonder is believed to be the second largest canyon in the world. Enjoy some time of wandering around the rim enjoying the views of the canyon floor.

    Day 17: Relaxing on the banks of the Orange River

    Today you’ll cross the Orange River into South Africa, and set up camp on its banks for the night. Experience one final evening under an African sky visibly full of stars.

    Day 18: Arriving to the Mother City

    Today is a long driving day but by the end will be well worth it as you reach your destination, Cape Town. Stop along the way at a community project to visit with some of the local people and learn about their history and hope for the future.

    Have your camera ready as you head into the central part of Cape Town and the chance to see her attractions, like Table Mountain, Lion’s Head, and the Waterfront up close.

    Day 19: Ending your tour in Cape Town
