Continue your journey to Lake Malawi, where unspoilt beaches beckon and a multitude of activities are on offer.

DETAILED ITINERARY

Day 1: Make Your Way to Iringa
Meals: HB

Leave the city of Dar es Salaam behind as you head inland and take the climbing road into the mountains to your first camp near Iringa.

Days 2-5: Visit a Craft Market in Lake Malawi
Meals: FB

Make the border crossing out of Tanzania. Today's destination is the northern part of Lake Malawi, close to the Livingstonia Mountains, where you can relax for the next 2 days.

Take a stroll through the nearby craft market with the friendly people of Malawi or take a hike into the mountains if the weather is favourable. You continue a short way further along the central part of the lake.

For the more adventurous, there are endless leisure and water sport activities, including scuba-diving, parasailing, windsurfing, canoeing, fishing and horse riding. Alternatively, soak up the atmosphere and relax in one of the most scenic holiday destinations in Africa. The evenings are spent beside its tranquil waters.

Days 6-7: Explore the Luwawa Forest
Meals: FB

Head for the Luwawa Forest, above the Great Rift Valley, an area of indigenous forest and magnificent scenery. A hike through the forest may reward you with a glimpse of some of its secretive wildlife.

Days 8-9: See Wildlife in the South Luangwa
Meals: FB

Day 7 takes you to the South Luangwa National Park where you spend two nights on the banks of the river.

The second day is put aside for activities. You can choose between a morning or night game drive and a guided game walk accompanied by a professional local guide. If the South Luangwa National Park is not for you, then relax by the pool.

On occasion during the rainy season it may be difficult to reach the South Luangwa National Park. If this happens, an alternative itinerary will be chosen.

Day 10: Stop Over in Chipata
Meals: FB

From the wonderful South Luangwa National Park, you travel to a remote part of Zambia. This is an interesting area full of friendly locals, and a walk along the river is a rewarding experience.

Day 11: Travel to Lusaka
Meals: FB

Journey towards the bustling Zambian capital of Lusaka. If you arrive early enough you can explore the local markets before spending the evening relaxing.

Days 12: End Your Adventure in Victoria Falls
Meals: HB

On arrival at your destination - Livingstone - you have enough time to visit the Falls. The popular optional sunset cruise includes dinner and drinks. Most people will spend the second day in Livingstone white water rafting - a not-to-be-missed experience of a lifetime.

Vic Falls offers many exciting alternatives, including bungee jumping over the gorge, sunset cruises on the Zambezi River, elephant-back safaris, and scenic flights over the Falls.

The last evening in Livingstone can be spent together as a group at a local restaurant, recounting your tour experiences and adventures.
