    Days 1-2:Game viewing in the Masai Mara

    Set out from Nairobi for the Rift Valley as you travel across the vast plains to the famous Masai Mara National Reserve. For the next 2 nights you’ll camp just outside of the reserve listening to the sounds of the wild.

    Embark on a few morning and afternoon game drives over the 2 days as drive over the rolling hills and vast plains searching for wildlife. The Mara is home to the great migration of wildebeest and zebra each year, as well as a large number of big cats who follow the grazing animals, and other ‘Big 5’ animals.

    Day 3: Dining at Carnivores in Nairobi

    After a brief morning game drive, you’ll cross back over the valley plains and ascend the Rift Valley Escarpment for the vibrant city of Nairobi. Spend the evening enjoying one of Kenya’s excellent restaurants, for example, Carnivores.

    Days 4-5: Exploring Safari Central, Arusha

    Heading south out of Nairobi, you’ll cross the border into Tanzania at the Namanga border post and continue onto the bustling city of Arusha. This northern town is the launching point for most safaris into the Northern Circuit, and home to several colourful markets and shops.

    The next day take the opportunity to explore more of the town, visit a local Maasai village or school, or the nearby Maasai museum and snake park.

    Days 6-7: Spotting the Big 5 in the Serengeti

    This morning drive across Tanzania’s Rift Valley past the Maasai village of Mto Wa Mbo into the Ngorongoro Conservation area, continuing onto the famous Serengeti National Park.  Once in the park partake in a small game drive as you make your way to your campsite.

    The next morning continue your exploration of the vast plains and dotted woodlands of the Serengeti for elephant, lion, and other ‘Big 5’ members. After lunch, drive out of the park across the conservation area to the rim of the Ngorongoro Crater where you’ll camp for the night.

    Day 8: Exploring the Ngorongoro Crater

    Descend into one of the best game viewing experiences as you drive around the floor of the Ngorongoro Crater. Explore this diverse landscape of vast plains, acacia woodlands, and marshland for lions, hippos, and zebras. The Crater is home most of the major mammals. 

    Following a picnic lunch on the crater floor, you’ll ascend out of the crater and continue through the conservation area as you head back to Arusha for the night.

    Day 9: Travelling to the Indian Ocean coast

    Wake up early to set out at dawn for a full day of game viewing looking for the animals you may not have seen yesterday. Hopefully, you should get some good up-close photos of lions and elephants. Tonight, embark on a sunset drive to view the different nocturnal animals, and predators.

    Days 10-12: Experiencing the Spice Island

    Boarding the local ferry journey to the Spice Island of Zanzibar for 3 nights of sun and relaxation. Your itinerary and accommodation isn’t set for these days, you have the freedom to design it as you wish. 

    Spend 3 days wandering the streets of Stone Town stopping at the many cafes and Medina shops, or transfer to one of the many white beaches on the island to soak up some African sun, or organise a mix of both.

    Day 13: Ending your tour in Dar es Salaam

    After enjoying your days on Zanzibar, today you’ll catch the ferry back to the mainland. Your tour will end once you arrive back in Dar es Salaam.
