    Day 1: Staying the Night Outside of the Kruger

    Departing Johannesburg, travel along the southern part of the breathtaking Panorama Route towards the famous Kruger National Park. Your camp is situated just outside the Kruger’s Numbi Gate. Spend the night sitting around a camp fire preparing for your game drive tomorrow.

    Day 2: Game Viewing in the Kruger National Park

    Enter the world-renowned Kruger National Park to begin an amazing full day of game viewing as you search for Africa’s Big 5 – elephant, lion, leopard, rhino, and buffalo. Along with these, the park is home to 140 other species of mammals, 500 birds, 114 reptiles, and 33 amphibians. In the evening, book an optional night game drive with a SANP ranger to view the nocturnal animals.

    Day 3: Driving Through the Panorama Route

    Heading north drive through the Lowveld to the quaint town of Polokwane. On the way, stop at the stunning Blyde River Canyon or God’s Window for some breathtaking photos. Explore Polokwane in the evening and enjoy its interesting night life.

    Day 4: Heating It Up in Musina

    Your journey takes you up towards the Zimbabwe border and the town of Musina. Once a booming copper mining town, Musina nearly disappeared as the industry collapsed. Today, the town is flourishing thanks to a resurgence in copper.

    Day 5: Exploring the Great Zimbabwe Ruins

    Crossing the border enter a country rich in culture and tradition as you travel north to the Great Zimbabwe Ruins. Explore these amazing ruins which represent the incredible past of one the best medieval cities in southern Africa. Tonight camp in the town of Masvingo near the Ruins.

    Days 6-7: Walking With the Lions in Antelope Park

    Make your way north towards Gweru in the Midlands par t of the country stopping at the famous Antelope Park. It is said that ‘no visit to Zimbabwe is complete without a stop at Antelope Park.’ Spend the next two nights partaking in a few optional activities to interact with the wildlife in the park – elephant, lion, and several antelope. 

    The next day take the opportunity to walk with the lions, ride an elephant, or go game viewing on the back of a horse.

    Days 8-9: Admiring the Rock Paintings of Matobo National Park

    Leaving the Antelope Park, continue to travel north to Bulawayo – Zimbabwe’s second largest city. Notice the large wide streets, a design for Bulawayo, to accommodate a wide berth of ox wagons. Today, the city maintains most of its British Colonial character, unmistakable in the many protected historical sites. 

    In the afternoon, check out some of the history at the Natural History Museum, the National Arts Gallery, and the Mzilikazi Arts and Crafts Centre.

    This morning visit the Matobo National Park – a stronghold for black and white rhinos, and home to a large population of leopards and the majestic black eagle. Today, explore the park searching for these magnificent creatures and admiring the ancient rock paintings of the former San inhabitants.

    Days 10-12: Going On an Elephant Safari in Victoria Falls

    Today head to the adventure capital of Africa – Victoria Falls for three nights of fun and relaxation. Once you’ve set up your tent at the centrally located campsite, explore the Victoria Falls National Park and observe the mighty Falls up close. 

    Spend the next two days finding out why the town of Victoria Falls is the adventure capital of Africa. Go white water rafting down the Zambezi, abseil into Batoka Gorge, take a scenic flight over the stunning Falls, or bungee jump over the Zambezi River. For the not so adventurous, there’s a chance to walk with lions, or go on an elephant safari.

    Day 13: Taking a Cruise on the Chobe River

    After breakfast, take a short drive and cross the border into Botswana for another short drive to Kasane – the gateway to the Chobe National Park. Today, set up camp on the banks of the Chobe River. Embark, later, on a sunset cruise on the river to view the animals that come down for an evening drink.

    Day 14: Making Your Way to Maun

    Departing Kasane travel south for a few hours before changing to a westerly direction and heading to the town of Maun. This evening, prepare for your optional 2-night excursion to the Okavango Delta – the world’s largest inland delta.

    Days 15-16: Floating On a Mokoro in the Okavango Delta

    From Maun, take a 4x4 truck and travel for a few hours to a mokoro station on the edge of the Delta’s waterway. After transferring to a mokoro – a traditional dugout canoe – your local guides will take you further into the delta to your campsite. Once you’ve set up camp, head out on a game walk and explore this truly unique ecosystem. 

    The next day continue your exploration of the Delta as you search for the incredible bird and animal life. Explore on foot on another game walk before a few hours rest as the day heats up. Take a swim in the waterway near the camp, and then later hop into your mokoro and experience an African sunset on the waterway. Return to camp for dinner, and sit back by the fire and listen to the sounds (or lack of) of the wild.

    Day 17: Taking a Scenic Flight Over the Delta

    Following a final game walk for one last glimpse of the wildlife in the Delta, pack up the camp and return to Maun in the afternoon. Upon your return, fly over the Delta on an optional scenic flight.

    Day 18: Driving to Palapye

    Today will be a long travel day as you depart from Maun early in the morning and arrive in Palapye in the late afternoon. The rest of the day will be yours to explore this shopping haven or to just relax at the camp site.

    Day 19: Crossing into South Africa

    This morning, after a drive to the border, cross into the Limpopo Province of South Africa continue to your camp for the night in Blydepoort.

    Days 20-21: Spotting the Big 5 in Kruger National Park

    Leaving Blydepoort, return to the famous Kruger National Park and the camp site outside of the Numbi Gate. Spend the afternoon relaxing by the camp’s swimming pool, and potentially an optional night game drive with an SANP ranger.

    The following day, enter the Kruger National Park again and search for the Big 5 and the other various species of wildlife in this truly stunning park that may have eluded you the first time.

    Day 22:Ending Your Tour in Johannesburg

    After breakfast, break camp, and head to Johannesburg your final destination of your journey. Your tour will end once you arrive in the ‘place of gold’ – Egoli.
