Botswana Mobile Camping Adventure

The Botswana Mobile Camping Adventure is for you, if you want to  get closer to nature but are not a huge fan of camping then this tour may be perfect for you. Short yet sweet, the Botswana Adventurer takes us through the most majestic parts of Botswana – some of which is the Okavango Delta and Moremi Game Reserve in comfort! Enjoy the wildlife and mesmerizing mokoro excursions and retire to a comfortable nights’ rest.

Includes: 

• Transfer from Maun to first camp on Day 1,
• Light snack served during transfer,
• 1 night comfort tented camp accommodation on Gomoti Lagoon with comfortable twin beds, full linen and ensuite bathroom with towels, shower, hand basin and toilet on a dinner and breakfast basis,
• 6 nights comfort tented camp accommodation with fixed bed, full linens, ensuite bathroom with towels, all meals,
• 2 Litres mineral water per person per day, table wine served during evening meal,
• Morning and afternoon game drives, night drive in concession area on day 6, Botswana Park Fees,

We are welcomed at Maun airport by our guide. We have the opportunity to take a scenic flight over the Okavango Delta (at own expense and must be pre-booked), before being road transferred to our first camp. Our first evening in the African bush is spent relaxing around the campfire under the bright stars of the southern hemisphere.

The morning starts with a guided walk before being road transferred through the park to our next tented camp. Lunch is served picnic style enroute. At this camp the variety of bird species here will keep us enthralled while we rest under the canopy of the large tree in camp. Late afternoon we have the opportunity to explore the area on a sundowner game drive.

Our morning and afternoon game drives explore the area with its combination of open grasslands, woodland thicket and lagoons which create special habitat for Cheetah, Wild Dog and Honey Badger.

After breakfast our guide transfers us with a game drive enroute to a boat station for our boat transfer which takes us into the Okavango channels and lagoon areas enroute to our tented camp on an Island. Here we have the chance of seeing hippos, crocodiles and the birdlife endemic to the area.

We further explore the channels and waterways of the Okavango Delta in the morning by boat, taking in the serenity of our surrounds and water bird species of the area. After relaxing during the heat of the day we are taken on a sunset cruise to photograph the spectacular Delta sunset.

A hearty breakfast before we are boated back to the boat station where a leisure game drive transfers us to our next Khwai concession camp. Lunch is served picnic style enroute. Our camp is in a private concession adjoining Moremi Game Reserve. There are no fences between the Park and the private concession making our night drive even more fantastic.

Today our guide takes us exploring the Khwai floodplains and the serenity of the surrounding wilderness is overpowering. (Optional activity at own expense – 2 hour Mokoro excursion)

Our safari culminates today after breakfast with a drop off at the bush airstrip to meet our transfer back to Maun.
