    Day 1: Arrive in Victoria Falls

    Today there are no set activities so arrive at any time. Try to arrive as early as possible though as today is your only day in Victoria Falls, the adventure capital of Africa. There are several different activities to do, such as white water rafting on the Zambezi, bungee jumping, abseiling in the Batoka Gorge, and visiting Victoria Falls National Park to view the mighty Falls.

    Day 2: Exploring the Chobe National Park

    Cross into Botswana and drive to the town of Kasane on the banks of the Chobe River. Embark on a river cruise to search the river for wildlife after a delicious lunch. 

    Prepare after lunch for an overnight excursion into the famous Chobe National Park. Spend the afternoon on a game drive exploring this renowned park for its large herds of elephants and other wildlife.

    Day 3: Viewing the Falls from Livingstone

    This morning after a short game drive out of the Chobe National Park, cross by ferry into Zambia and drive to the town of Livingstone. Today, partake in the activities you weren’t able to get to yesterday or that weren’t available in Zimbabwe. 

    Take a scenic flight over the Falls, or explore the Mosi-oa-Tunya National Park to view the Falls from the Zambia side, a very different perspective. In the evening, embark on a sunset cruise of the Zambezi and observe if any wildlife have come down to the river to cool off.

    Day 4: Driving North to Lusaka

    An early wake is set up for today as you have a long drive to your next destination, the capital of Zambia, Lusaka. Notice as you go how the roads are getting rougher, and the vegetation more tropical. Your camp site for the night is just outside Lusaka, and has a small population of wildlife.

    Day 5: Staying in Chipata

    Departing Lusaka, travel close to the Zambia-Malawi border and a lovely camp site near Chipata. This town is truly an African place, and if time permits, you should explore it.

    Days 6-9: Getting Beach Time on Lake Malawi

    Crossing into the ‘Warm Heart of Africa’ drive through the southern portion of Malawi, stopping in Lilongwe for supplies, to the stunning, fresh-water Lake Malawi. Over the next five days, travel up the coast stopping at various bays and campsites. 

    Experience the game of bao with the locals, visit a few of the markets searching for treasures, or relax on the white sandy beaches. Lake Malawi is a well-known destination for snorkeling/diving thanks to the fact you can swim year round, and the stunning marine life.

    Day 10: Crossing into Tanzania

    Leave the shores of Lake Malawi and cross the border into Tanzania at Songwe. Travel through the Tukuyu banana plantations and the highlands of southern Tanzania as you head to Iringa and your camp site for the night.

    Day 11: Soaking Up the Sun in Dar es Salaam

    Make your way from the cooler climates of the highlands to the warm weather of the Indian Ocean Coast. Arriving in Dar es Salaam – Tanzania’s largest city and economic hub – travel to your lovely beach side camp site. Take the opportunity to have a relaxing swim in the Indian Ocean before preparing for your optional excursion to Zanzibar.

    Days 12-14: Visiting Prison Island On Zanzibar

    Board the local ferry for the exotic and historic island of Zanzibar and your 3-night optional excursion. There is no set itinerary so you are free to organise your time as you wish. Spend your three days in Stone Town, on one of the many beaches, or a mix of both. 

    Stone Town is the largest town on the island, and usually the launching point for most visitors to the Spice Island. Wander the quiet streets as you admire the Arabic influence that has been preserved, stopping at the many shops and cafes for a gift for home or a spiced drink. Day trips can be easily organised from town - visit the Prison Island just off the coast, travel to Jozani Forest, or explore the many markets, including the seafood night market. 

    p>Head to the north part of the island and soak up the African sun as you relax on the white sandy beaches, book a diving/snorkelling excursion in the crystal clear waters of the Indian Ocean, or a sunset cruise in a traditional dhow.

    Day 15: Ferry Back to Dar es Salaam

    Return to the dock in Stone Town to join back up with your fellow travellers who were on the island with you, and take the ferry back to the mainland. Tonight, spend the night at the beach side camp site just outside Dar es Salaam.

    Day 16: Catching a Glimpse of Kilimanjaro

    Today you have a long travel day as you leave Dar es Salaam for Arusha. Notice how the landscape changes from lush scenery of the Indian Ocean Coast to mountainous as you go through the Pare and Usambara Mountains, and then flat as you enter the Rift Valley and arrive at your camp site just on the western side of Arusha. 

    Along the way, pass through Moshi – the base for Kilimanjaro expeditions – and if the weather is good, stop and get a glimpse of the mighty Kilimanjaro and its snow capped summit.

    Days 17-18: Bush Camping in the Serengeti

    This morning transfer into 4x4 safari vehicles and begin your 2-night optional excursion to the Serengeti National Park and Ngorongoro Crater. Driving towards the Ngrongoro Conservation area, pass through the Masai town of Mtu Wa Mbu and climb out of the Rift Valley. Stop among the wheat farms in the highlands near the village of Karatu for the night.

    The next morning continue through the Ngorongoro Conservation area and descend into the Ngorongoro Crater for some of the best game viewing in Africa. Drive around the caldera floor in search of lions, hippos, and zebras.

    p>After your game drive, climb out of the Crater and continue through the conservation area for the famous Serengeti National Park. Once you entered the park, go on a game drive searching for the Africa Big 5 as you make your way to your camp site.

    Day 19: Staying the Night at Meserani Snake Park

    Continue to explore the Serengeti searching the plains and woodland areas for some additional wildlife on a morning game drive. Return to camp for lunch, and then start the drive back to Arusha through the Ngorongoro Conservation area. Tonight, spend the night exchanging stories with your fellow travellers as you relax at camp’s bar.

    Day 20: Discovering Masala Tea in Nairobi

    Set off early this morning and travel to the Kenya border and cross into Kenya. Continue travelling north to the capital, Nairobi where you’ll have the rest of the day to explore this vibrant East African city.

    Day 21: Ending your Tour in Nairobi

    This morning after breakfast your tour officially ends, but take the day to visit the David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust and the Giraffe Centre before your flight home.
